The Asian Network of People who Use Drugs (ANPUD) and the International Network of People who Use Drugs (INPUD) have started petition to the Indian Government in order to strongly condemn recent raids on the offices and homes of Anand Grover and Indira Jaising of the Lawyers Collective, India.
In the letter, 131 organizations including human rights and drug policy reform groups have demanded Apple to immediately remove apps (games) that are promoting murder, extrajudicial killings, violence, and the war on drugs in the Philippines.
On April 30, 2017, ANPUD issued a letter of support expressing gratitude and solidarity for the stand taken by Senator Leila De Lima to protect human rights and save lives of people who use drugs in the Philippines. Duterte plotted against her and got her arrested to supress her. She has been unrelentingly fighting to stop the war on drugs in the Philippines while she is in prison. As a response to ANPUD’s letter of support, she returned to us with her inspiring letter.
Every year, today we commemorate a friend, partner or family member who had passed away as a result of overdose to raise awareness that the tragedy of overdose death is preventable.
